The Conor McGurk Cup returns in 2026 after a hiatus last season.
The pre-season tournament will follow a knock-out format which begins Saturday January 3rd with the final set for January 18th in Queens University, Belfast. 12 teams have entered the competition, with Louth, University of Ulster Jordanstown and Queens University joining the 9 Ulster Counties in the hat.
Our Senior Hurlers have been drawn at home to Louth in Round 1 with the winners advancing to a quarter-final meeting with Down on Wednesday 7th.
Monaghan last met Louth in the McGurk Cup quarter-final in 2024 where the wee county emerged victors on a scoreline of Monaghan 0-10 Louth 2-20
