Emyvale G.A.A. Club AGM is scheduled to be held this evening, Thursday 30th November, at 8pm in Tully. This is a vitally important date in our club’s diary and we kindly request that anyone who has nominations or would like to hold a position within the committee please forward all documentation to the club secretary. With some major steps for the club coming soon, we encourage all members to attend the AGM and help shape our club’s future.

2023 Val Forde Memorial Cup: We had four teams competing for the annual Forde Cup on Sunday past, with around 45 boys and girls displaying great skills on a damp evening. It was as keenly contested as ever with all games very close – but the yellow team did overcome the blue team in the final – highlighting the fun but competitive nature of the Forde Cup. Fun was had by the kids, with the steely competitiveness brought by the Mum Managers! Our captains/joint captains this year were representing the 4 schools in the parish. Edenmore was captained by Nathan Reid, Aaron Mc Caffery, Jack MC Carron and Declan MC Garvey. Billis being captained by Adam MC Kenna, Glaslough’s captain was Owen Mc Carey and Corracrin was led by Cillian Maguire and Donnagh Nesbitt as joint captains. Declan Forde presented the winning yellow team with the Forde cup. Congratulations to the winning team and well done to all the kids who came out and enjoyed the evening playing winter football. A big thanks to Peadar mc Mahon who came along to take photos, Declan Mc Garvey and Stephen Mc Aree for refereeing, thank you also to all the mothers who expertly managed the teams. Finally, a massive thank you to Declan and Angela Forde for sponsoring another successful tournament.
