Castleblayney Faughs Club Notes 23.11.2023

Congratulations to the Senior Ladies team on winning the Intermediate League Final against  Latton on Sunday and completing the double.They have now achieved two doubles in two years and will be playing Senior football in 2024 for the first time.
Strength & Conditioning work will get underway soon for our older juvenile players.
Watch out for messages from coaches in the next few days.

The minor boys have been paired with Armagh champions Clan na Gael in the St. Pauls Ulster tournament due to be played in December.
Our AGM is on Thursday 23rd November, 7.30pm in Iontas. This is your opportunity to find out what has been happening in and around the club this past year and have your say in how the club is shaped in the year(s) ahead.
The OPTFM/Castleblayney 5km sponsored by McMahons SuperValu takes place this Sunday at 2pm. In a return after a break due to covid, the race has always proved to be very popular in the past with a big field of competitive and social runners. Registration available online via the clubs social media channels for €15 and on the day for €20 with a finishers gift for all. Also the 2km race for the u14s will start at 2.05 with entry for €5 for those running in that with some of the local schools already in training a number of weeks. Registration on the day in the Glencarn Town centre and the race will start and finish nearby. We hope to see as many as possible taking part or helping on the day to make sure it all goes off smoothly – anyone able to steward please contact Tom Miller or Stephen Dignam. We hope to see plenty from the town out supporting all those taking part and giving the many visitors a warm Blayney welcome on the day.
It is club draw time again. Last year, we were the top club in Ulster. 100% of all funds raised stays in the club. Tickets can be gotten from any committee member.
