Castleblayney Club Notes 02.11.2023

The senior ladies had a comprehensive win over Granemore last weekend.

Next up is a home game against Steelstown from Derry this coming Saturday at 2.00pm.

Ladies ulster club match on Saturday and minor final on Sunday in St Marys Park, could all available stewards please be at the field on Saturday from 12.30 and Sunday from 12.00.

Our U14 A girls 2023 season which began in mid February ended on the 14th of October with the girls being crowned undefeated division 1 league and championship double winners.

The nail biting final against Latton in Killanny went to extra time and eventually had the Faughs girls come out on top, a fitting end to a brilliant season.

We wish the Latton goalkeeper who was injured in extra time a speedy recovery.

Congratulations to the girls on their hard work all year.

Also congratulations to all the U14 management team Brian, John, Eddie, Tom, Ozzie, Dermot, Catherine and Cara.

Last Saturday wrapped up the season for our U14 girls development team in the division 3 shield semi final against Donaghmoyne. This was a tight game in which all our girls worked hard to the end only losing by 2 points to a good Donaghmoyne team.Well done to these super group of girls.

Operation TransFAUGHSmation continues this week; well done to everyone taking part – keep up the great work.

In addition the Couch-2-5k has begun, this takes place at the pitch every Sunday at 10.00am. Everyone is welcome to attend.
