Bingo at the Seans

Well done to all our winners on Monday night, as we paid out nearly €5000 in prizes. Congratulations to the lucky player who scooped €1000 on page 4. All our jackpots are intact for next week and our main jackpot will be a massive €12300. Make sure you get in early and get your books. Lighting the Future Fundraiser

On Sunday evening the Club was humbled to have the new incoming president of the GAA , Mr Jarlath Burns, drop in and help launch our new fundraising campaign. To a packed house, Jarlath, was full of praise for the extent of recent developments around the club grounds. As he addressed the gathering, he recalled taking part in a novelty act, some years ago, for Scór, in the Club Complex. His easy going demeanour made the evening a great success and we wish him well in his new position at the top level. The fundraiser is now taking to the road so all members can expect a friendly visit from our canvassing teams in the coming weeks.

 

AGM

Our AGM takes place on Sunday the 26th Nov. at 3pm in the complex.

 

U17 Championship

Our U17 rollercoaster championship ride came to any abrupt halt on Sunday last as we were defeated by Maghercloone. It was an uncharacteristic lack lustre performance from the Seans, however, given the incredible five week hiatus in fixtures, that the lads had to endure between their last game and the final probably explained the absence of sharpness. The game came and went but we didn’t do ourselves justice for the effort given all year. That said, we must wholeheartedly commend the team to a man, for their staggering commitment since the last week

in February until the first week in November. The lads gave us some great days out and we did secure the U18 championship which should not be forgotten. This team will get their just rewards in the years ahead. The club would like to thank, Manager, Ryan Connolly and selectors Stephen Connolly and Adrian Forde for their time and energies throughout the year as they pass the baton on for 2024.

 

Birthday Wishes

The Club would like to extend a hearty congratulations to Fr. Coffey on his milestone birthday which was celebrated in some style on Sunday last.

We are currently collating pictures and memorabilia of ladies and mens teams, and general events in the club of yesteryear. This work has started with new photos etc on display in the Plex Bar.
