A wave of sadness emerged over our entire Monaghan GAA community as we noted the very sad passing of our dear friend Luke Cunningham on Friday the 27th of October 2023.

Luke was a lifelong Monaghan and Killanny Gael.  Luke was  involved in Monaghan GAA Supporters Club for numerous years and was a key fundraiser for our county teams and facilities.  He served as county board delegate for Killanny and held a number positions and various  subcommittees of Monaghan GAA.   A renowned steward at club, county, Ulster and Croke Park games.

Luke cherished his Volunteer Award nominated by his club Killanny at our Annual Volunteer Recognition & Appreciation night in 2019. Luke served our association in a most unselfish manner and all those who knew him will be greatly saddened by his passing

Our thoughts and prayers are with Luke’s  brother Bernard and his sister-in law Evelyn, extended family, many friends & neighbours and Killanny and Monaghan Gaels at this very sad time.
