St.Mellans Handball Club

 

AGM.

St.Mellans Handball Club held its AGM Wednesday the 6th of September in the Complex, all officers were returned with the exception of Christopher Mc Kenna (PJ) who held the chairperson for several years was replaced by Brendy Keenan, Committee as follows, Chairperson Brendy Keenan, Vice Chair Christopher Mc Kenna (PJ), Secretary Eoin Treanor, Assist Sec Damon Hughes, Treasurer Aidan Keean, Assist Treasurer Fergal O Neill, Childrens Officer Shane Treanor, PRO Peadar McCluskey, Assist PRO to be ratified at next meeting, also welcome to new committee members Conor & Chrissy, all ready for another action packed year!!!.

Mono League.

Eoin has the league drawn up with a starting date of Tuesday the 3rd of October, it returns to a 5 person team with 4 playing on a night, so one player will sit out each week, there will also several subs available if required, players have been ranked on last year’s scoring averages, so some new placing for players, good luck to all taking part and enjoy!!!.

 

Juvenile Coaching.

We are looking at a possible start date for Juvenile Coaching of October 16th then to incorporate leagues as the year progresses, so please ensure membership paid before the season begins.

 

Membership.

The club will be seeking membership in the very near future, Adults 50 Euros, Students 35 Euros and juveniles 20 Euros, all membership must be paid via the Foireann APP, thank you.

 

Summer League.

The Summer League concluded last week, Fergal O Neill claimed the Div 1 league defeating Christopher Mc Kenna (PJ) and Adian Kerr who won the Div 2 defeating Conor O Fearon in the final, all these ones will be well warmed up for the winter play now !!, big well done to all that took part during the summer months.

 

Comhghairdeas.

Congrats to Calum Gallagher who won the Ulster Junior One Wall title and to Paul Cassidy on claiming the Ulster Diamond Master’s One title Sunday past in Beragh, well done both.

 

Committee Meeting.

Next committee meeting is pencilled in for Wednesday the 27th of September, 8pm in the complex
