GAAgglebox

 

Gaeil Triucha are excited to announce that we are hosting GAAglebox in the Hillgrove Hotel on Saturday 4th November 2023 to raise funds for our recently published development plan.

The plan which includes replacement of our existing floodlights with LED Lights, an Extension of our walking track facilities, provision of additional changing facilities for recently completed training pitches, additional surfaced car parking and a number of other long-term projects. These facilities will benefit all members of our club and the associated clubs (LGFA & Handball) who use the facilities, along with the wider community.

We have assembled great teams for you all to support and get behind. Please help out and support the teams to help them raise their funding goal. Without these volunteers the event could not take place so a big thank you to all who are taking part.

 

Our club is 65 years in existence this year and we have already great facilities from previous generations of volunteers and workers and it is our intention to continue to improve our facilities for the next generation to come. We would ask you all to come along on the 4th November to what should be a very enjoyable evening for all our Gaels and wider community.

St.Mellans Handball Club are happy to announce the continued partnership with Truwood as the main sponsor of the handball club, the continued partnership of 35 years is great to see as both Truwood and the handball continue to evolve but remain very closely linked, a link of what gear and recreation clothing is available on FB, so have a look and get the “credit card” out!!!, again a massive thanks to all in Truwood.

 

Mono League.

The Mono League is up and running, it has returned to a 5 player team format with 4 playing on a night , this will give players an opportunity to play against players ranked higher than others on any given night depending on what teams are picked and we hope this will give them a chance to up their game to take as many points as possible of the opponent, make sure all 4 know their game night!!!!!!!.

 

Juvenile Coaching.

Juvenile Coaching kicks of Monday coming October 16th, we will incorporate leagues & competitions as all progress, so please ensure all membership for juveniles is paid before the season begins, any problems registering, or any queries about new members contact any committee member.

 

Coaching Course.

We are looking at holding a handball coaching course in the very near future, some ex-players or parents might be interested in taking part, if so please contact any committee member, we will be in touch with all information when we have it confirmed, also can all existing coaches get on line to get their Gardai Vetting moving.

 

 

 

 

 

Mellans Handball Shootout.

Keep an eye for the “Mellans Handball Shootout” competition on October the 28th, this is part of their fundraiser for committee member Patrick Mc Kenna as he takes part in the gaaglebox fundraiser for the club, see on Facebook for info, Patrick is also running a “Last Man Standing” in the Mono League, you can also sponsor directly, see Gaeil Triucha FB page for the link, good luck boys.

 

Membership.

The club will be seeking membership in the very near future, Adults 50 Euros, Students 35 Euros and juveniles 20 Euros, all membership must be paid via the Foireann APP, thank you.

 

Court Booking

Please all booking of courts use the “Skedda” App, courts will fill up very quick when all leagues & coaching is in full flight, we ask all players to sue the weekend as much as possible for all practise games
