Intermediate Championship:Last Sunday saw our Seniors travel to Threemilhouse to take on the locals in the final Group 1 round of the Intermediate Championship. It was Sean’s who started the scoring before Niall Mc Kenna notched up his and Emyvale’s first score with a point from a free. Niall backed this up with a point from play before Seans replied to leave it all square at 2 points each. Conor Forde stroked over another free, but Sean’s added two further points to take a 1 point lead at 0:04-0:03. Niall Mc Kenna continued his fine form and latched onto the ball more and scored two more points to regain the lead. Sean’s drew level at 5 points each before Niall once again showed his class with another from play. The experience of Daniel Mc Mahon was on show when he scored from a free to edge Emyvale up by two. From there, the teams traded a point a

piece, Conor Forde providing Emyvale’s point from the 45mt line to go into the dressing rooms up by two at 0:06-0:08. Dylan Sherry who had a great first half, made way for Ryan Mc Anespie to enter the fray and Ryan made a decisive impact cutting Sean’s open and making some vital interceptions. Karl Gallagher, Daniel Mc Mahon and Niall Mc Kenna all scored a point each to widen the gap to four points. Stephen Askin and Gareth Mc Quaid came in for the classy pair of Daniel Mc Mahon and Aidan Mc Kenna before Niall Mc Kenna and Greg Devlin both tapped over a point each. Aaron Loughran came in for the hard working Ryan Kelly with Niall slotting over another free to double the scores to 0:07-0:14 pts. Sean’s pulled a point back with the ever committed Rory Sherry coming off to allow Diarmuid O’Domhnaill to arrive on the scene. Niall added to his tally with another free before Alistair Stewart got his rewards with the game’s only goal to leave the final score Sean’s 0:08 – 1:15 Emyvale.

It leaves us now in the Championship Quarter Final v Cremartin this Saturday at 4pm in Scotstown.
