Monaghan U11 Hurling Development league concluded over the past couple of weeks. This development league commenced in May, over the next 4 months 9 rounds where completed. 8 clubs took part and they were, Monaghan Harps, Inniskeen, Latton, Carrickmacross Truagh, Castleblayney from Monaghan and East Cavan Gaels and Cootehill from Cavan. Total of 9 teams, with 7 clubs having 1 team and Inniskeen having 2 teams. The league concluded with all players receiving a participation medal and a most skillful player plaque was awarded to a nominated player from each team. Opposing manager selected a player to receive this award. The purpose of this award was to highlight the importance of developing the key skills to players at this age. Developing skills where the key focus of each training session and game’s during this league.
