Tyholland Club Notes 03.08.2023

Slotto: Our jackpot of €5,800 was not won last week! The numbers drawn were 8,9,11,23 and we had 2 match 3 winners this week; Congrats to Ruairí Connolly & Carl Murphy! Our Jackpot this week is at €5,700!!! We thank everyone who continues to support our Slotto draw which provides vital funds for the maintenance of our club.

 

Eurotech Junior League: OWell done to our Senior men who qualified for the Dr Ward cup final after a tough battle with Drumhownan last Saturday evening.

 

Minors: Our Minors were defeated by Seans on Monday evening. They welcome Latton this evening (Thursday) for a 7pm throw in.

 

U13’s: Our U12’s welcome Inniskeen on Sunday at 11am for a home game in Championship.

 

U11’s: Our U11’s look forward to the Liam Stirrat cup.

 

Go Games: Our U9s are hosting this weekend’s Go games on Saturday at 10am. Well done to our U7’s who hosted their own morning last Saturday in Tyholland…thanks to all eho helped out on the day!

 

U7’s/U5’s: Training continues for this group every Thursday 6:30pm – 7:30pm. This session caters for boys & girls from 4-9 years of age. Please contact Alan Farrelly 086 3850435 if you have a child who may be interested in attending.

 

Ladies

 

Senior Ladies: Our Seniors were defeated by Killeevan last Saturday evening in the first round of the Junior League. They welcome Aughnamullen on Saturday evening for a 7pm throw in.

 

U18S: Hard Luck to our U18 ladies who were defeated by Scotstown on Thursday evening.

 

U14’s: Our U14’s play Truagh away this week.

Club Guardian Programme: Thank you to the families who have signed up so far for our Guardian programme. We will have a permanent display of all who have signed up when our new Gym is completed! We hope that where possible everybody will get behind the club on this next phase of development to continue the growth and success our club has seen in recent years. All Ireland Ticket Draw: Congratulations to Declan Farrelly who was the winner of our 2 All Ireland Tickets in our big draw! Also to Siobhan McKenna who won our members draw to buy a ticket! Thanks to everyone who supported the draw.

 

Tyholland Senior Gym: Our Gym is strictly for Senior registered players only. There have been a few incidents of non- members and U18s using the Gym and this is NOT permitted.

 

Field Development: You will all have seen the first of our generous sponsors signs along the newly developed pitch. Get in touch with any committee member to sign up!

 

Community Centre: The community centre and bar are available for hire for parties,

Run to Remember Gary Askin: This annual run will take place at 7pm on Friday 4th August in Emyvale GAA grounds. It is always well supported by our club members. This year the proceeds will be donated to the Irish Kidney Association, Monaghan Cardiac First Responders and Errigal Truagh Special Needs group. Please support!

 

‘A History of the Parish and its’ People’: The parishioners of St Sillian’s Church of Ireland, Tyholland are delighted to announce the launch of their exciting historical project ‘A History of the Parish and its People’’ which will take place in the church on Wednesday, 16th August at 8pm. With the support of a grant from the Heritage Council the Select vestry has employed the services of Mrs Brigid Clesham, a qualified archivist and researcher who has worked in a number of repositories in Ireland including the National Library. Please come along and bring a friend to support this Heritage Week Event. Light refreshments will be served.
