Seniors

Our Seniors played at home to Cremartin last Saturday in the 1st Round of the Intermediate Championship. In a game where goals proved to be the vital scores, we were unfortunately unable to find one with Cremartin running out winners in the end on a scoreline of Clones 0-11 Cremartin 2-8. Next up is an away game to Castleblayney at 5pm this coming Sunday 20th in Round 2 of the Intermediate Championship.

Under 17’s

Our under 17’s had a Semi Final on Monday evening against Clontibret. It was a game of nip and tuck throughout with the teams very evenly matched. The teams were level going in at half time 1-05 each.

The lads started the second half brightly and outscored their opponents by 4 points to 1 in the first seven minutes. Clontibret were not done yet and they scored three unanswered points to level matters again on the twelfth minute.

After this it was nip and tuck until the last 6 minutes where the lads got the upper hand and booked their place in the Div 2 League Final next Monday in Doohamlet at 7pm. Well done lads.

Under 13’s

U13s are out on Saturday at 12 noon away to Tyholland. This is Round 3 of the Championship. A positive result would give us a great chance of qualifying for the final. All support welcome.

All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Final Replay

It was another proud day for the club hosting the All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie Championship Final Replay Derry v Meath last Saturday at St Tiarnach’s Park. Many thanks to all who helped on the day.

Best of Luck

The club would also like to wish Senior player Myles Quigley and Club Executive member Marissa and husband Paddy all the very best as they return to America after 7 years in Clones.

Marissa and Paddy were always available to help at the big games and all their help was very much appreciated in their time here in Clones.

Good luck to Myles as he furthers his studies Stateside and a huge thank you to him for the massive contribution, he made to St Tiarnachs Clones GFC in his time with
