Juveniles:

Under 17s: Our Under 17s were beaten by Clontibret on Thursday evening last on a scoreline of 4-07 to 2-10.

Under 15s: Our Division 5A team were beaten by Magheracloone in the League Cup Final on Wednesday evening last in Corduff on a scoreline of 3-12 to 0-11. This was a game where the boys

battled hard throughout, however it was Magheracloone’s ability to create scoring opportunities which was the difference in the end as they built a comfortable lead early in the game. With the boys trailing by six points at the half time break, a fast start to the second half was essential. Unfortunately, the opposite occurred as Magheracloone raced through for another goal in the first minute of the second period, leaving the boys with a mountain to climb. To their credit, the Aughnamullen boys never gave up and scored three points in succession to close the gap, but unfortunately it wasn’t to be enough as Magheracloone saw it through to win comfortably in the end. Commiserations to the team and management, the boys will no doubt come back stronger in the Championship, which commences soon.

Under 13: Our Division 3 team had a great win over Killeevan on Saturday last on a scoreline of 2-11 to 1-07. Our Division 5 team also had a great win over the weekend, beating Monaghan Harps on Sunday on a scoreline of 2-09 to 2-06. Our Division 3 team travel to Latton next Saturday, the 19th of August in the next round of the Championship Group at 11am. Our Division 5 team travel to Tyholland on Sunday the 20th of August. Best of luck to both teams and management. All support welcome.
