Inter County news: well, what can you say – it was just not Monaghan’s Day last Sunday. They dug deep, they played some fantastic football, they took some super scores but, on the day, it just got away to a very good Derry team. It will be one to remember as still it’s a huge achievement to make an All-Ireland final for your county. To Emyvale lads Mathew, Andrew and Johnnie – you have done your county, your club, your family and most important yourself – Proud – not the ending we all wanted but that’s football and unfortunately on the day – there can be only one winner. Mathew, Andrew and Johnnie you’ll always be our winners and now you move onwards and upwards and it will be great to see you back in the Black and White soon.

On Saturday it will be “last person out turns out the lights” as the folk of Monaghan once again hit the road in numbers to support our County Senior footballers when they face off to Dublin in the All-Ireland Semi-Final. Tickets are like golddust at the moment and we hope the surge of blue and white and be the 16th person to help steer our team to victory on Saturday and qualify for an All-Ireland Final. Once again Karl Gallagher and Ryan McAnespie will be Emyvale’s representatives on a massive day for the county. Good luck guys, we will all be right with you on Saturday!!

CUL camps: the annual Cul Camp is currently running at Emyvale GAA grounds and with about 140 kids attending – it’s going to be a busy and exciting week – enjoy the camp and be great to see you bring back plenty of new skills that you learned at the camp to our club.

Condolences: The sympathies of the club are extended to the Kennedy Family, Bree, Castleblayney on the recent passing of Jimmy.

Jimmy played with the club in the 60’s & was a formidable defender. Even though he lived in Castleblayney 52 years he was a loyal supporter of the Emyvale Club & attended many of their matches. We also extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the late Ciarán Coll, Dundalk and formerly Emy, Emyvale.
