On Friday evening at 8pm at O’Neill Park we have a RFLD3A league semi final with Blayney.

All Ireland Semi Final

The dream lives on but it was not to be this time. Despite a heroic display in Croke Park Monaghan failed to push on in the final quarter as Dublin progressed to another All Ireland final. It was a great battle but we just didn’t have the reserves to get us over the line. Well done to all the players and management especially our representatives Conor McManus Conor Boyle, Killian Lavelle, Darren McDonnell, and Francie Hughes, along with Vinny and Marty Corey on the line who put in such a tremendous effort all year and deserve our whole hearted support and thanks for some wonderful days out.

Ulster Champions

A huge congratulations to our parish u10 team who won the Community Games Ulster Final against Cavan champions, Erne Valley, on Saturday last in a windy Bundoran on a score line of 6-10 to 3-6. Erne Valley scored a goal just after half time, but we dug deep and produced a fantastic second half performance to come out on top as Ulster champions and keeping a long tradition of success in this competition. Congratulations to all involved in this magnificent achievement, especially our representatives, Max, Aaron, Seagh Daire, Jay, Ollie, Sean, Ben & Killian.

Under 17

The Under 17 squad got their season under way last week with victories away to Inniskeen on Tuesday and home to Donaghmoyne on Sunday. Next up is St Tiernachs at home on Monday.

Hurling

The senior hurling championship gets under way on Wednesday with a home game versus Inniskeen at 8pm followed by an away game to Blayney next Wednesday.
