Toome Club Notes 16.06.2023
U11’s: The under 11’s played out a home fixture against Emyvale on Tuesday 6th June giving a great account of themselves and a great evening had by all. The U11s play Oram in a home fixture this Thursday evening at .
Intermediate League: Toome had an away fixture to Killanny on Friday last 9th June in what was a thrilling and entertaining match with nothing between the two sides, both sides giving it their all. It was a tit for tat game for the most part, Toome opened the scoring only for the home side to respond with 5 scores on the bounce, Toome came back in with a point and a goal followed up with another 2 scores, Killanny responded before the break and went in to the interval a p;oint to the good, HT Toome 1:04 – 0:08 Killanny. The second was a tense affair and both sides were eager to claim the points, some great play was on display for what was a very warm evening. Toome got a penalty for taking James out on his way through to goal and this was slotted home, Toome wen 2 points up at this stage and looked like they could hold on despite Killanny coming back at them, neither side was giving an inch and this was going to the wire. The home side and although Toome had the lead by a single point it was not to be as the home side got a free that was converted at ease to produce a draw. Reserve Championship: The Reserves played Sean McDermotts in Round 7 of the league away on Tuesday 13th June at 8:00pm – result in next weeks notes. #BeThe16thMan.
Juvenile Training: The juveniles (4 – 11 years) continue to develop their skills with training each Tuesday evening at 6:30pm on the main field, see you all there.

U7’s: The young ballers enjoyed a Blitz in Cloghan this Satrurday 17th June.
U9’s: Our under 9’s have a well earned rest this week.
Gaelic 4 Mothers&Others: Please be sure to let friends and neighbours know of our Mothers&Others training, this continues each Wednesday at 8:00pm in St Victors Park. The Gaelic 4Mothers&Others initiative sees women playing Ladies Gaelic Football in a fun, non-competitive and social environment. New members are joining each week so please spread the word, if you are interested, please contact Andrea Quinn on 087 678 6560.
Volunteers: If you would like to help the Club in any way at all, please get in touch with either Club Chairperson – Gene Cumiskey on 087 918 6629 or Club Secretary – Ryan McMahon on 087 743 1970. We really need the help in many areas, lining of the field, match day assistance, car parking, photography, announcing, live score updates, cleaners, servers, turnstile operators, score board operator, etc. If it is at all possible, that you can give to give the Club a few hours here and there please get in touch, we need your help especially if we are to succeed, this is all our Club and remember many hands make light work.

Development Works: The concrete plinth is almost complete and we will be moving on to the field perimeter fence mesh next. If you can give any time at all it would be greatly appreciated. Community Group: The community group are holding an Old Clothes Collection onthe weekend of 30th June – 1st July – If you have any old clothes, shoes, bags etc please bag them up and bring them along.
