Toome Club Notes 08.06.2023
U11’s: The under 11’s played out a home fixture against Emyvale on Tuesday 6th June at 7:00pm in St Victors Park.
Intermediate League: The team are out again this Friday 9th June at 8:00pm in an away fixture against Killanny, this will be a tough fixture and we will need the support of the Toome faithful. Please be sure to spread the word and come along to show your support. #BeThe16thMan.
Reserve Championship: The Reserves fixture against Doohamlet on Saturday evening was cancelled with Doohamlet conceding the points, next up is Sean McDermotts in Round 7 of the league away on Tuesday 13th June at 8:00pm. #BeThe16thMan.
Juvenile Training: The juveniles (4 – 11 years) continue to develop their skills with training each Thursday evening at 6:30pm on the main field, see you all there.
Please spread the word to your friends, family, neighbours and relations, new children are always very welcome. Thanks to all our coaches/mentors who give their time so generously.
U7’s: The young ballers enjoyed a Blitz at Home on Saturday 3rd June with a fantastic day had by all and the beautiful weather, the U7s also attended the Blackhill Sports Day to complete in a blitz on the day. Well done to all players and thank you to the coaches.
U9’s: Our under 9’s continue to work hard on the training field and enjoying their sessions, these young players are in a Home Blitz on Saturday 10th June – all players to be on the field at 9:30am.
Monaghan Hurlers: Huge congratulations to the Monaghan hurlers who were the worthy winners Lory Meagher All Ireland cup final in Croke Park on saturday last 3rd June, a huge well done to our very own Stephen Lambe who played an excellent game.
Volunteers: If you would like to help the Club in any way at all, please get in touch with either Club Chairperson – Gene Cumiskey on 087 918 6629 or Club Secretary – Ryan McMahon on 087 743 1970. We really need the help in many areas, lining of the field, match day assistance, car parking, photography, announcing, live score updates, cleaners, servers, turnstile operators, score board operator, etc. If it is at all possible, that you can give to give the Club a few hours here and there please get in touch, we need your help especially if we are to succeed, this is all our Club and remember many hands make light work.

Development Works: The concrete plinth is almost complete and we will be moving on to the field perimeter fence mesh next. If you can give any time at all it would be greatly appreciated.
