Intermediate League

We played out a draw at home to Toome last Friday night – it’s fair to say we weren’t at our best with countless missed chances in the first half and with Toome leading by a point with time almost up, it took a last gasp free kick from Gavin Flanagan to grab a share of the points. Final score Killanny 0-14 Toome 2-08. Nevertheless, it could prove to be an important point come the end of the league campaign. Next up we travel to Emyvale this Friday evening 16th June for an 8.00pm throw-in.

Our Div 1B team welcome Castleblayney to Pairc Éanna this Tuesday 13th June, throw-in at 8.00pm while on Sunday 18th June our Div 3B team are at home to Monaghan Harps at 1.30pm

Our U-15’s return to action next Thursday 22nd June with a trip to Scotstown

Our U-13’s had a good win over Currin last Saturday 3-11 to 2-06 following up from their defeat of Latton last Tuesday. Next up for the boys is a home tie against Oram on Wednesday 14th June at 7.30pm

Monaghan Hurlers

A huge congratulations to Kevin Crawley (joint Captain) and the Monaghan County Hurlers on winning the Lory Meagher All-Ireland Final in Croke Park last week. Brilliant achievement lads!!

County Minors

Well done to Tomas, Conor & Sean and the Monaghan Minors on their All-Ireland Quarter-final victory over Mayo on Sunday evening last. The lads are now into the Semi-final where they will face Kerry on Saturday 24th June – best of luck lads…!!

Killanny Ladies

Hard luck to Genevieve O’Neill and the Monaghan U-14’s who lost out to a strong Down outfit in the All-Ireland Silver Final last weekend
