Congratulations

Congratulations to Monaghan Minors and Especially our Very own Luke McKenna (Hughie) Sean O Connell & Shane Clerkin on reaching the Minor All Ireland Final which takes place on Sunday 9th July. This is a massive achievement which the club is very Proud of. Also to Monaghan Seniors on reaching the quarter final of the All Ireland, we wish Gary Mohan and all the Team and Management all the best of Luck in Croke Park this Saturday against Armagh.

Upcoming Events

 

Mid-Summer Trad Fest- 30th June – 1st July,

Our Mid-Summer Trad Festival Takes place this Friday and Saturday night with a fantastic line up of musicians over the weekend.

 

Friday Night will see Maddan Rapperees Ceol Uirlise Group, All Ireland Scor nOg Champions & the very talented Jack Warnock & Caride take to the stage.

The Famous Blackwater Ceili Band will finish of what promises to be a great night’s entertainment.

 

Saturday is shaping up to be a Super Saturday. To Kick off we will be showing the Monaghan vs Armagh game on the big screen in the Bar (This Game is only on GAA Go and not available on regular TV) This will be followed by live traditional music from our Scór na nÓg musicians

 

After that Ádh Mór (Oisín Murphy, Emyvale and Micky Fearon, Lurgan) featuring Brian Ó Gallchóir and Piaras Ó Lorcáin will take to the stage with all the best of Irish, folk and trad music Music will continue into the night with a trad session from 11pm to late with the Feddars – all Musicians welcome!

 

We will have a warm welcome for all returning from Croke Park – lets hope we will be in party mode

 

Race Night – Saturday 8th July

A night at the Races takes place on Saturday 8th July, There are still a number of horses available to purchase for the races on the night. Contact any committee member to get your horse.

 

Carnival ‘23 – 12th & 13th August

On Saturday night we have Wolfhound performing on the Main Stage.

 

Sunday will be a family fun filled day, with something for all ages.

From Vintage Display to Funfair, Novelty Races and much more.

The evening Entertainment will conclude with Reilly & The Moon Rockets followed by Country Legend Jimmy Buckley.
