Doohamlet G.F.C. Results:  Our Senior team played Cremartin on Friday evening last in Cremartin in the Monaghan Electrical Intermediate Football League R6.  Doohamlet got off to a great start with three points in succession from play coming from Oisin O Neill, Hugh Mc Ginn, and Colin Walshe. Cremartin gets their first point of the game but a point from Barry Mc Ginn still gives us the three-point lead, Cremartin hits their second, and yet again Barry Mc Ginn puts another point over the bar for Doohamlet.  Cremartin comes into the game with four points in succession and a superb free kick from captain Barry Mc Bennett leaves the sides even at half-time with a scoreline of  Doohamlet 0-6 Cremartin 0-6.  The second half opens with two points from Cremartin and a well-placed point from Barry Mc Ginn leaves nothing between the sides, however a goal for Cremartin stretches their lead, but this wasn’t long–lived as Barry Mc Bennett converts a free kick and minutes later Doohamlet gains possession and a high ball into Barry Mc Bennett who then flicks the ball onto Conor Marray and Conor palms the ball into the back of the Cremartin net leaving both sides level again.  Kevin Mc Ardle replaces David Mc Ginn.  In the last quarter, both teams traded scores with points from Oisin O Neill, Barry Mc Bennett (f), and Barry Mc Ginn.  Aidan Marray replaces Oisin O Neill.  This was an exciting game of football with nothing between the sides and Doohamlet came away winners on the night with the final score Doohamlet 1-11(14) Cremartin 1-10(13).  Well done to all the team and management on a good result.
