Bingo at Seans

Another great night of bingo but no jackpots won. However we still managed to give away over €4000. Congratulations to all our players. Next week our main jackpot will be €10,200, and all other smaller jackpots are still in play. Make sure you get in early and get your books. Intermediate League

Monaghan Harps were our visitors on Friday night last. With both teams seeking their first win of the league, it was always going to be close affair. The game started with scores exchanged and nothing between either team, however, with only a point between the sides as the first half drew to a close , a lucky punch of a stray ball in the Seans goalmouth hit the net. The visitor’s had squeezed a four point lead at the break. The second half was a stop start affair with no flow to the play as it became a freekick fest. The Harps capitalised on the decisions and maintained their lead in the second period. Despite a couple of raids within the visitors small square in the closing minutes, we couldn’t convert and the game trickled to the finish line with victory to the visitors. Unfortunately our efforts on and off the pitch have yet to receive the reward that they deserve but this is not far away. We entertain Cremartin on Friday night and another opportunity to get the foot on the league ladder.

 

Sean Ógs

Well done to our Sean Ogs who travelled to Ballybay on Saturday for their Go Games Blitz. Once again their coaches had them in top shape and gave a brilliant account of themselves.

 

 

U11’s

The 11’s were on duty at the John Treanor Memorial Tournament in Truagh on Saturday. This is an annual competition run by the Truagh Club and teams from all over come to play. Our youngsters took on Aghaloo, Kingscourt, Donaghmoyne and Gowna. A superb experience for the players and coaches to play teams that they would not normally. The welcome refreshments went down a treat after a hard days playing and the Seans would like to thank the Truagh Club for their hospitality.

U13’s

A great win recorded against Latton on Saturday morning last by the lads. In a high scoring game, they displayed great progress and confidence in their play which resulted in a well earned win.
