Bingo at Seans

Another great night of bingo but no jackpots won. However we still managed to give away almost €4500. Congratulations to all our players. Mens Senior Reserve League

On Tuesday last we hosted Toome in round seven of the reserve league. This was a game that seen many players roll back the years for the Seans and perform like it was just the start of the millennium. Our mixture of youth, experience and legends on the night forged a terrific nights entertainment. The Seans made an excellent start to the game and laid down the marker that this game was set victory. The lads defended well and equally took their scores as the opportunities presented themselves. Half-time gratefully arrived as a rest for some was necessary but their endeavours had us in a comprehensive lead. However , the visitors rallied in the second period and began to whittle away at our advantage. Undeterred, and with the introduction of subs, we once again regained control of the situation and took some crucial goalscoring chances. Victory was secured, but at the expense of some creaking joints, a few stitches and very, very tired legs. When you join this Club you can check out but you can never leave. Well done to the all the lads who played their part, and by the way, won by eight points.

Ladies Reserve League

Well done to our senior ladies who defeated Carrick on Sunday morning in the reserve league. With a great mix of youth and experience, the ladies found their rhythm early on and never looked back. A comprehensive win, in the end, and a good start after a long break from games.

U13’s

Hard luck to our U13 lads, as they exited the Shield semi final, with defeat to Latton on Sunday morning. In a game, they were chasing from early on, they never dropped their heads and tried their hardest to chip away at the visitors lead. Unfortunately, goals win games and we just couldn’t hit the net. Well done the lads and their management on their efforts and commitment this season.
