Doohamlet G.F.C. Results: Our Senior Team played Monaghan Harps on Saturday evening last in Doohamlet.  Doohamlet took the lead from the start with a goal by Colin Walshe and a point from Barry Mc Bennett minutes later.  Harps reply with two points in succession and Colin Walshe extends the lead with a point from play.  Barry McGinn puts a well-placed ball over the bar.  Harps get another two scores and Barry Mc Ginn puts his second point of the evening over the bar leaving the score at half-time Doohamlet 1-04 (7)   Monaghan Harps 0-5 (5).  Colin Walshe opened the scoring in the second half with a point and Harps hit another two points taking the game to a one–point lead.   Darren Connolly replaces Emmett McManus. Doohamlet keeps pushing forward and gets a further three points from Oisin O Neill, Damien Ward, and a converted free from Captain Barry Mc Bennett. Further into the game  Barry Mc Bennett converts another free and Barry Mc Ginn gets a further two points from play.  Harps scores another two points.   Aidan Marray replaces Jack Mc Elroy.  Barry Mc Bennett converts yet another free, Cillian Walshe replaces David Mc Ginn.  

The final scoreline is  Doohamlet 1-12  Monaghan harps 0-12

This was a close game right to the end with both sides trading scores, but Doohamlet kept the lead from the start, and the opening goal proving to be the deciding factor at the final whistle.

Saturday 20th Our Reserve team plays Clones at home in the Quarter Final of the Crawley Cup at 7pm.
