Castleblayney Faugh’s notes 18.05.2023

May 16th, 2023

Senior Fixtures: Our senior men continued their good start to the league campaign with a win over neighbours Toome on Saturday past. Combining a mix of experience and youth it was an edgy and close fought first 30 mins in which the lead changed a couple of times before the Faughs went in 1-03 to 0-04 up.

Upon the restart, the lads extended their lead and went 7 up in the 47th minute when the green flag was raised following a mistake by the Toome defence. The next score was another green flag after we were awarded a penalty. Final score Faughs 3-09, Toome 0-08. Next up is a game away to Emyvale weekend after next.

This week our C’s are busy beginning with an away game with Carrick on Wednesday evening before travelling to take on Blackhill in the championship Q/F on Saturday, throw-in at @ 7.00pm.
