Intermediate League

It was victory for us on the opening day of the 2023 season as we managed a 5-point win over Sean McDermotts in Pairc Eanna last Saturday evening. It certainly wasn’t a classic with both defences on top for large periods of the first half. The opening quarter saw us lead 0-04 to 0-01 with scores from Killian Collins, Eddie Walsh (2) & Callum Murray. Seans did come back into it in the second quarter to reduce the gap to only 1 point at half time but I’m sure they would be disappointed with their free taking as plenty of opportunities were missed. Leading 0-05 to 0-04 at half-time we upped the intensity in the second half and chipped away at the scoreboard hitting the next 5 points in a row, all coming from the ‘on-point’ boot of Eddie Walsh and keeping Seans scoreless for pretty much all of the second half. They did however get two late injury time points, either side of another Eddie Walsh free, to leave the full-time score Killanny 0-11 Seans 0-06. Next up we travel to Cremartin next Sunday 23rd April for a 4.00pm throw-in.

 

Reserve League

Our 3B reserves are at home to Latton this Saturday evening 22nd April – throw-in at 7.00pm

 

U-18’s

Our U-18’s were beaten by Magheracloone away on Tuesday evening last when short a number of players, wilted in the second half and a more clinical Magheracloone team ran out comfortable winners. Next game is against Latton in Pairc Eanna on Tuesday 25th April at 7.30pm

 

U-15’s

Our Div 5B team had a good away win in Donaghmoyne last Friday evening 7-10 to 6-03 but unfortunately our Div 1 team succumbed to Magheracloone the previous evening 7-15 to 1-10. Next up our Div 1 team play Clontibret in Pairc Eanna this Thursday evening at 7.30pm & our Div 5B team have a home game with Aughnamullan on Sunday 23rd April at 11am. Best of luck to both teams.

 

U-13’s

Our U-13’s were beaten by a stronger Corduff team last Monday evening.

 

U-11’s

Our U-11’s get their Spring League campaign underway this Sat 22nd April with at away trip to Drumhowan at 11am.

 

Juvenile Registration & Presentation Evening

This Friday 21st April we will be holding our Juvenile Registration evening with Presentations of medals to last years winning Juvenile teams. County star Stephen O’Hanlon will be there to present the boys with their medals. Refreshments served. 7pm start in Community Centre. All welcome.

 

Club Memberships

Reminder as most all age groups are back in training for the coming season, all club membership fees are now due and must be paid in advance of participation in any club competitions. This year non-playing Adults will be €50. Juvenile membership will be €50 for first child, €90 for 2 same family children & €125 for 3 or more same family children.
