Seniors: The seniors made it two from two with a hard earned 13 points to 1-07 win over Latton on Sunday. Donaghmoyne started brightly and raced into a 4 point lead courtesy of two frees from Matthew Marron and a mark and a free from David Garland. Latton responded with a point and then pounced on a misplaced pass at the back to score a goal and draw level on 9 minutes. The Fontenoys hit back with a Declan Courtney mark followed by another Matthew Marron free and 3 points from David Garland, Latton pointed twice but the last score of the half was from Stephen Finnegan to leave it 0-10 to 1-3 at the break. The second half was a nervous affair with scores hard to come by, Matthew Marron and Stephen Finnegan both scored for the Fontenoys with Latton hitting two in reply to keep the margin at 4 points with 15 minutes left to play, the final Donaghmoyne score came from David Garland on the 47th minute and from that point on it was a back to the wall defensive effort with Latton rattling the wood work but unable to force another goal, Latton scored the final point of the game with 5 minutes to go but a dogged Donaghmoyne defence held firm to claim the win.
