Aughnamullen Club Notes 30.03.2023

Lotto: The lotto was held on Sunday night last. There was no winner. The numbers drawn were 3,5,12 & 19. This week’s jackpot rises to €6,300. You can purchase tickets either by buying envelopes from one of our young sellers or by logging on to our online Smart Lotto page through the link smartlotto.ie/aughnamullen-s.

The club is celebrating its 30th anniversary of the Club Lotto. On the Easter weekend there will be a special anniversary draw where there will be extra prizes on the night to show our appreciation of your continued support.

Seniors: Our senior team begin their 2023 Senior League campaign on Saturday the 15th of April at home to Ballybay at 7pm.

Reserves: Our reserve team opened their league campaign on Friday night last away to Inniskeen, where they were beaten on a scoreline of 1-14 to 1-07. Their next game is away to Clontibret this Sunday the 2nd of April at 12pm. Best of luck to the team and management, all support welcome.

SAVE THE DATE: The OsKaRs fundraiser is coming to Aughnamullen GFC on Saturday the 7th of October 2023 in the Glencarn Hotel, Castleblayney! Keep the date free for what will be guaranteed to be a night not to be missed.

OsKaRs Casting Evening: The Casting Evening for the OsKaRs will take place on Wednesday the 5th of April for those who want a part in a movie.

Aughnamullen Ladies Present; Clash of The Clanns: Aughnamullen Ladies are hosting their fundraiser “Clash of the Clanns” on April 30th.

Each team must consist of family members only (siblings, parents, cousins, aunts/uncles, in-laws etc). Each team must have at least 2 ladies and 2 non active GAA members.

The rules of the blitz are as follows

• All participants must be Over 16

• 7 aside 3 subs

Registration starting at 1:15 and kick off at 2pm sharp.

There can only be one family to win the coveted title of Clash of the Clanns Champions and take home the Brendan Finnegan memorial shield. Will it be your family????

Juveniles:

Under 18s: Our under 18 team began their league campaign away to Sean McDermotts on Tuesday evening, where they were beaten on a scoreline of 2-15 to 2-12. Their next game is at home to Inniskeen on Tuesday the 4th of April at 6.45pm. Best of luck to the team and management, all support welcome.

Under 13s: The under 13 Spring League began over the weekend, with our A team’s match against Killanny being postponed. Our second team travelled to Magheracloone, where they were beaten on a scoreline of 4-09 to 2-07. This Saturday our A team play away to Cremartin at 11am, while our B team travel to Latton at 1.30pm. Best of luck to both teams, all support welcome.

Under 9s: U9s Boys football is back every Wednesday evening on Astro for boys born 2014/2015. New players welcome.
