SAVE THE DATE: The OsKaRs fundraiser is coming to Aughnamullen GFC on Saturday the 7th of October 2023 in the Glencarn Hotel, Castleblayney! Keep the date free for what will be guaranteed to be a night not to be missed.

 

OsKaRs Information Evening: There was a great turnout at our information evening on Tuesday evening, where Kevin Rowe from Kevin Rowe Events explained the process and made a presentation on what the OsKaRs consists of. The Casting Evening for the OsKaRs will take place on Wednesday the 5th of April for those who want a part in a movie.

 

Annual Dinner Dance: The 2023 Dinner Dance will take place tomorrow night, Thursday the 16th of March in the Social Centre. Our Hall of Fame recipients on the night will be Ciaran Lonergan, Gerry Swinburne and Eamon Kerr. Our Guests of Honour on the night will be the successful Under 19 team from 2022. Also on the night the Senior Player of the Year, Reserve Player of the Year and Under 19

Player of the Year will be presented. Doors open at 7.30pm, food will be served at 8.30pm, last servings at 9pm. There will be live music by Adrian Wilson, admission can be paid at the door. Come along for what will be guaranteed to be a great night’s entertainment.

 

St Patrick’s Weekend: This Saturday the 18th of March there will be live music by Setanta in the Social Centre. Come along for what will be a great night’s entertainment.

 

 

Juveniles:

 

Juvenile Presentation Night: A great evening was had by all at our annual Juvenile Presentation Night in the Social Centre, where our three successful teams from 2022 were presented with their winning medals. A huge thanks is extended to our three Aughnamullen county representatives, Micheál Bannigan, Joel Wilson and Kevin Sheridan and to Dessie Ward, who brought the Mick Duffy Cup along, for presenting the boys with their medals.

 

Under 9s: U9s Boys football is back every Wednesday evening on Astro for boys born 2014/2015. New players welcome.

 

Congratulations: The club would like to congratulate Thomas Finnegan and Samantha Counihan who got engaged recently.

 

Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to Christine West and the extended Shannon family on the passing of her sister Evelyn Shannon. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

 

Sympathy is extended to our former Parish Priest Father Shane McCaughey on the recent passing of his brother Cormac. May his gentle soul rest in peace.
