Lotto: The lotto was held on Sunday night last. There was no winner. The numbers drawn were 6,23,27 & 30. This week’s jackpot rises to €5,900. We would like to thank Patrick, Caroline and all the Geoghegan family for their years of dedication and service to selling lotto envelopes for the club, having recently moved on from the role. We would also like to welcome Tina Duffy in as a new lotto seller in the Laragh area. Many thanks also to those current sellers who have taken up extra areas as part of their rounds, your support and help is greatly appreciated. The lotto is our club’s main source of income and it is hugely important that it receives continued support each week, we want to thank everyone who purchases tickets each week whether online or through our sellers.

 

 

Social Centre: The renovations to the kitchen are currently ongoing and are going well. The kitchen should be on course to reopen on Sunday the 12th of March.

SAVE THE DATE: The OsKaRs fundraiser is coming to Aughnamullen GFC on Saturday the 7th of October 2023 in the Glencarn Hotel, Castleblayney! Keep the date free for what will be guaranteed to be a night not to be missed. We are hosting an informatiion evening on Tuesday the 14th of March at 8pm. If you think you have the talent to be an actor come along to the Information Evening and you could be a part of the big night in October!

 

St Patrick’s Weekend: On Saturday the 18th of March there will be live music by Setanta in the Social Centre. Come along for what will be a great night’s entertainment.

 

Annual Dinner Dance: The 2023 Dinner Dance will take place on Thursday the 16th of March in the Social Centre. Our Hall of Fame recipients on the night will be Ciaran Lonergan, Gerry Swinburne and Eamon Kerr. Our Guests of Honour on the night will be the successful Under 19 team from 2022. Come along for what will be guaranteed to be a great night’s entertainment.

 

Seniors: Our senior team kick off their 2023 season in the Michael McVerry Tournament 50th Anniversary this Friday the 3rd of March away to Cullyhanna at 7.30pm. Best of luck to the team and management.

 

Juveniles:

 

Juvenile Registration Day: This Sunday the 5th of March there will be a registration day for all Juveniles of the club in the Social Centre. Please note that parents of juveniles are requested to register along with their children. It is important all players and coaches are registered before attending training or matches – they are not insured if they are not registered for the year.

 

Under 9s: U9s Boys football is back every Wednesday evening on Astro for boys born 2014/2015. New players welcome.

 

Juvenile Presentation: Our annual juvenile presentation will take place on Saturday the 11th of March in the Social Centre. This is a great occasion to mark what was a hugely successful year for our underage teams.

 

Summer Camp 2023: Our Annual Summer Camp will take place from Tuesday the 8th of August to Friday the 11th. Another fun filled week is promised. More details to follow.
