Referee’s: As a matter of high importance in both club and county, we are actively looking for new referees so our games can be played and enjoyed safely from juvenile to senior level. Emyvale G.A.A has a proud history in refereeing, producing some highly regarded and respected referees. However, the time has come when we need some more people to take up the challenge. Would you like to continue with that tradition and test yourself out to see would you enjoy what’s a very rewarding and important role in Gaelic games, or maybe you are a past player who would like to continue the buzz of match day? Why not give it a go and see. All training and support will be provided and we are lucky to have one of Ulster’s best referees in our club to help out along the way. Contact any committee member or our Club referee Niall ‘Mo’ McKenna for more details.

Monaghan Inter County Teams: It was a busy week for Emyvale lads with their Inter County Teams over the last week. Karl Gallagher had an outstanding game for the senior team, making his presence felt in their commanding win over Donegal to gain some much needed points in the Div.1 Allianz League. Next up is a home game v table toppers Roscommon in what offers to be a mouthwatering clash in Clones on Sunday at 2:30pm. Well done also to Michael Hamill and the Monaghan U20 team who had a great 3:13-0:16 win over Westmeath in the Philly McGuinness Cup, next fixture is on Saturday 4th March v Louth in Castleblayney at 1pm. While the Monaghan Minor team, including our own Andrew Stewart and Matthew Finn, were narrowly beat by 1 point at the hands of a strong Meath outfit in a Minor Challenge game. Good luck to the lads in their Ulster Minor League fixture v Derry on Saturday at 12 in Emyvale. Good luck to all teams in their next games.
