Cumann na mBunscol. The Cumann Na mBunscol competition was held today Thursday the 26th , we hope all enjoyed the competition and maybe some that never played before this we be a launch pad for them to get involved, winners of the county section will play a provincial section in Belfast on February 5th, with the National Finals due to be held on February 18th most likely in Kingscourt, any photos and results of club players please get them into a member of the committee so we can put up on FaceBook.

Juvenile Coaching & Leagues. All juvenile leagues and coaching as schedule before, there are some remaining singles league games and after that we are looking at setting up a league to the same format as the adult league and if it is possible this will be played in the allocated slots of the coaching, but coaching will continue until we have a league format sorted, all will be informed in due course.

Irish Nationals. Good luck to club members that have entered The Irish Juvenile Nationals, the venues have been changed from Dublin to Carlow, Kilkenny & Laois venues, some might have qualifying games this weekend, enjoy all the games everyone and it is a great opportunity to be play some of the best up and coming in Ireland.

Comhghairdeachas. Well done to Donnacha Mc Cluskey where on Saturday evening he received his “Young Handballer of the Year” at the Monaghan Annual GAA awards, well done from all in the club.

Mono League. The Mono league has reached the summit, the final will be played this Saturday evening in St.Mellans @ 5:30pm, The Shamrocks of Dylan Mc Kenna, Declan Mc Kenna, John Treanor & John Mc Carron play St. Pats, Vinney Campbell, Chrissy Meehan, Donnacha Mc Cluskey & Patrick Mc Kenna, 2 evenly balanced teams, one that could go the wire!!!!!!, good luck to all involved.

Adult Club Singles & Doubles. The adult club singles have begun, the “Robert O Reilly Engineering” Cup (D1) , “Gola Woodworks” Cup (D2) & “Tunnel Kerr” Cup (D3) are all up and running, good luck everyone, please check fixtures for time and ensure you are available. Registration. If any member still hasn’t paid their “club Membership” can do so through Foireann,, so go to www.foireann.ie and get registered and paid up, any issues contact a member of the committee, NB players are not eligible to play in county, provincial or All Ireland events if not registered with Croke Park.

Alley Bookings. The new “online” booking system for the club is proving a great way to book the alleys, but for some reason if your booking is cancelled in any competition please make this aware on Whatsapp groups available, on the “committee”, “team League” & “juvenile” APPS, this will leave members then that they can avail of the free slot, the first member to “thumps UP” the message can claim the slot, even during the league 95% of all games were played but some outside the allocated time of games, and this left a gap that could have been filled, so please be mindful of especially our “younger” players to give them as much access to the alleys as possible, thank you.
