Monaghan GAA Awards

The Monaghan awards night takes place in the Four Seasons Hotel this Saturday evening. Our Youth Officer, John Paul Mone, will be honoured as Juvenile Club Officer of the Year. This is in recognition not only for JP’s organisational skills but more importantly for his work on the ground as coach and mentor to a range of juvenile teams over nearly a decade. Well done JP on well deserved recognition.

Minor Get Together

The minor champions of 2002 who went on to win Ulster on New Years Day 2003 will gather on Saturday night at the club to renew old acquaintances and watch a video of the match.

This is the quote that our new Healthy Club Officer Stephen, used to motivate and sum up the hardy souls that braved the elements for our 1st Ireland Lights Up walk on Wednesday evening last.

While the rain might have dampened their clothes, it didn’t dampen the spirits, with most declaring afterwards “its worse looking out”, “sure it’s great to get out and chatting no matter about the rain”.

Our group walks will continue every Wednesday evening at 7pm for the next 7 weeks, and hopefully the weather will be kinder, and more encouraging to entice you all out for fresh air and chats.
