Monaghan Coaching & Games hosted an U7 & U9 Hurling at the Entekra Monaghan Centre of Excellence in Cloghan on Wednesday, 15th June. The blitz was great success with all 7 seven Monaghan Hurling clubs attending (Castleblayney, Carrickmacross, Clontibret, Inniskeen, Monaghan Harps, Truagh & Latton) and East Cavan Gaels making the trip from Cavan to attend the blitz.

In total, over 200 children took part in the blitz with the clubs split into 27 teams. Each team got to play 4 games throughout the course of the blitz.

The blitz showed off a lot of the good work being done by coaches in their clubs. The skills on show were a credit and we look forward to seeing more of these players over the coming months and years. The coaches also officiated the games to encourage more coaching throughout the game. A special mention must go to all coaches for doing a fantastic job.
