Monaghan Senior footballers commence their 2022 season with the Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup competition this weekend.

Our Senor footballer manager Seamus McEnaney has announced the starting teams for Friday the 7^th against Derry and Sunday the 10^th against Fermanagh, which will see 29 different players over the two days representing 18 different clubs with  9 Dr McKenna Cup debutants Shane Hanratty (Inniskeen); Darragh Mc Elearney (Drumhowan); Gary Mohan (Truagh); Shane Woods (Inniskeen); Colm Lennon (Ballybay); Fergal Hanratty (Corduff); Conor Leonard (Eire Og); Karl Gallagher (Emyvale) and Jason Irwin (Oram)
