Clontibret also led almost from start to finish as they saw off Monaghan Harps to win the JHC. Clontibret had 11 players on the scoresheet as they won the second half by 0-8 to 0-3 to defeat a Harps side left to rue hitting 15 wides and failing to take a handful of goal chances. Clontibret won the most recent of their 17 county SHC titles in 2003, but this win gives them something to build on for next year.
