Fixtures: Saturday, March 14: U-13 v Magheracloone (Home), Group B at 12pm and Group I at 1.15pm; RFL Division Three v Killeevan (Away) at 4.30pm

 

Monaghan Harps Lotto: Numbers 3, 17, 22 and 24. Jackpot of €5,900 not won. Jackpot for Sunday, March 15 is €6,000 and Maria McKenna is on duty. Lotto draw takes place in our clubhouse every Sunday night. All welcome. Reserves: We fell to a narrow defeat away to Aughnamullen in last Sunday’s RFL Division 1B opener. Points from Conor McCrystal, Shane McMahon, Niall Greenan and Francis Lynch got us off to a bright start, but a goal brought Aughnamullen into the game and the first half finished level at 0-7 to 1-4. Conor, Shane, Niall and Evan Doherty were on target during the second half, but another goal handed Aughnamullen a 2-8 to 0-12 win.

Our RFL Division Three campaign is due to start away to Killeevan this Saturday at 4.30pm.

 

U-13: Our U-13 teams are due to start their Spring League campaign with a double-header at home to Magheracloone this Saturday, with the games throwing in at 12 noon and 1.15pm.

 

Scór: Well done to our Scór Sinsir Instrumental group, who represented club and county in last Saturday’s Ulster semi-finals. Well done to all involved with this group, who won the county Ceol Uirlise.

 

Meeting: The club’s monthly senior meeting for March takes place this Thursday evening, with the juvenile meeting tomorrow (Wednesday). Both start at 8pm in the clubhouse.

 

Registration: Registration fees for 2020 are now due to club registrar Kevin Treanor or in the clubhouse. Fees are as follows: U-11s €20; juveniles/seniors €30; family membership €60. Please note that all adult and juvenile players must be registered before starting training for 2020.

 

Dates to remember: The Intermediate Football League is scheduled to start on Saturday, March 29 (away to Blackhill). Our Friday-evening coaching for juveniles is due to kick off on March 27.

 

St. Patrick’s Day parade: Based on the advice of the National Public Health Emergency Team, all St. Patrick’s Day parades have had to be cancelled.
