Monaghan Coaching & Games delivered a 3rd/4th Class Football & Hurling Blitz on the 15th, 16th and 17th of October. These blitzes were open to boys and girls and were held over the three days at the Entekra Centre of Excellence, Cloghan.

Schools who attended on the days included Corracrin, Knockatallon, Latnamard, Clones, Edenmore, Deravoy, Scotshouse, Ballynagearn, Broomfield, Glaslough, Scoil Eanna Ballybay, Scoil na gCailini, Carrickmacross BNS, Scoil Mhuire Clontibret, Leitrim NS, Scoil Mhuire Rockcorry, Corduff, Corcaghan, Killeevan, Gaelscoil Ultain and Drumgoassat

Every team played a minimum of 3 matches, with the Go Games playing format being applied throughout the three days. Each game consisted of 3 periods of 7 minutes with the middle period of each game focusing on weak side development.

We would like to thank the teachers and assistants who took their students to the blitz. Also a big thank you to the TY referees from both St Macartan’s College, Castleblyaney College and Our Lady’s Secondary School who officiated the matches during the blitz. Thanks to all the schools who took part and who made the blitz a huge success.
