Ulster GAA looking outstanding Clubs for Elevate Award

There are a few places now remaining for 2019 Ulster GAA Elevate Award. The Level 2 Award is part of Ulster GAA’s Volunteer Development Pathway and requires a club to have 6-8 club representatives to participate.

First developed in 2016, Ulster GAA’s Elevate Award aims to offer clubs a higher level of expertise across a range of areas from: Leadership and Management; Club Planning and Marketing; Financial Management and Fundraising; and Capital Projects and Partnerships. Volunteer tutors deliver this programme and have been selected as leaders in their field. All of which are from GAA backgrounds, who have experience and knowledge either in their professional or personal lives across all these issues.

To date, 24 outstanding clubs have achieved the Elevate Award, and in 2019 Ulster GAA is giving ten clubs, at least one from each county in Ulster, an opportunity to achieve the prestigious award.

The Elevate Award is scheduled to take place on Saturday 2nd March in Tyrone Centre of Excellence at Garvaghey from 9.00am – 3.30pm. As part of the Elevate Award clubs will be given a tour of the impressive GAA facility at Garvaghey and will hear from those involved in the multi-million pound project which has delivered an unrivalled GAA facility and will pick up ideas on how to undertake smaller capital projects at club level.

As expected, there is already high demand for this prestigious Award and spaces are extremely limited. Any club interested should complete the following Expression of Interest Form and return it by email to sharon.haughey.ulster@gaa.ie before Friday 22nd February deadline.

All clubs wishing to participate must commit to ensuring at least 6 members of their club participate in the training day and must have completed Club Officer training in the last five years. Eligible clubs will be allocated a slot on the Award on a first come, first served basis.
