Moy 0-9 Carrickmacross 1-5

 

Carrickmacross exited the Ulster Club IFC when they were edged out by Tyrone side Moy in Omagh last Sunday. A strong start gave Carrick a three-point lead, but Moy rallied to lead by 0-6 to 0-4 at half-time and even though Stephen O’Hanlon hit a great goal after the restart, the Tyrone side hit the only two points of a tense final 20 minutes to win by the narrowest of margins, with veteran Seán Cavanagh kicking the winner from a free.

AIB Ulster Club Junior Football Championship Quarter-Final

Tattyreagh 3-14 Currin 2-12

 

Currin fell short in a cracking Ulster Club JFC quarter-final against Tyrone’s Tattyreagh in Omagh last Sunday. Currin’s 2-12 tally, with Jack McCarron and Stephen Smyth hit 1-10 between them, wasn’t enough to progress as Tattyreagh’s goal-scoring touch guided them through. Jarlath McDonagh, Eoghain Murray and Brendan Armstrong all found the net for Tattyreagh, while James Darcy landed eight points.
