Toome advanced to an IFC semi-final meeting with Aughnamullen when they edged past Emyvale in Clontibret on Saturday. With James Wilson and Frank Connolly hitting 1-9 between them, Toome were 1-10 to 0-6 up just after half-time and although a Garreth McQuaid goal helped kick-start Emyvale’s challenge, they fell just short in the end.
