Lotto:  There was no winner of last week’s Jackpot Prize of €7500.  The numbers drawn were 2, 7, 14 and 23.  There were 7 Match 3 Winners – Kathleen Todd, Dernahinch, Jamie Sherlock, Brackagh, Michael McGeough, Kilnageer, Barry Treanor, Pat Meehan, and P and A Sherlock, Clarna.  Sellers Prizes: Yearly – Eilish Treanor, Weekly – Dermot Treanor.  Next week’s Jackpot Prize €7600.   The lotto draw takes place at 10.30pm sharp every Sunday Night, any lottos received after the draw takes place will be deferred until the following week’s draw.  Lotto can now be done online – go to truagh.club to see details.

Feile
Feile weekend is now fast approaching starting.  Coralstown/ Kinnegad U-14 Boys and Galtee Rovers U-14 Girls will arrive on Fri 23rd June at 1.30pm to St. Mellans.  We will then be providing lunch for the visiting teams and their mentors.  At 4pm the U -14 Boys competition will commence with 4 fixtures in St. Mellans.

Our U-14 Girls will be in action on Fri 23rd in Scotstown.

Both our visiting teams will then assemble in St. Mellans where the players will meet their host families between 6.30pm and 7pm.

On Sat 24th June there are two fixtures in St. Mellans in the morning.
Gaeil Triucha Girls v Galtee Rovers in St. Mellans at 10am
Gaeil Triucha Boys v Coralstown/Kinnegad in St. Mellans at 11am.

Results of the games will depend on where each of our teams are playing in the afternoon.  There will be other games in St. Mellans in the afternoon check website for details – truagh.club.

On the evening of Sat 24th when our host teams and our own teams have completed their fixtures there will be entertainment in our function room in St. Mellans.  At 7pm there will be live coverage of Monaghan v Down on a big screen.  At 8.30pm there will be a cultural event involving local children and those from our visiting teams, 9pm there will be a Presentation to our visiting teams, followed by music from John Loughran and his band.  We would like to encourage and invite everyone to attend these events over the weekend and any members who would like to help out over the weekend please contact Mickey Corrigan 0862516596.

Juveniles
All of our juvenile teams enjoyed training sessions with the senior squad last Saturday in St Mellans. There was a great buzz around all the pitches as the senior players lead training sessions with all the age groups. This was followed by refreshments and hot food, it was a lovely afternoon for the kids so thanks to the senior team for making it happen.
U6&U8. Training continues as usual this week.
U10’s  Played  Tyholland in a challenge match on Tuesday night. Blitz on Saturday morning in Doohamlet, details as per messages
U12’s. Division 2 team beat Killany last Saturday in St Mellans. 2006 players compete in the Aghaloo blitz this Saturday, while 2005 boys have a challenge match at home to Eire Og at 12. Training continues as normal
U14’s. Were defeated by Emyvale last Saturday night in St Mellans. Looking forward to welcoming the team from Westmeath for The Feile festival 23-25 June.

Ladies
Thank you to all who help and contributed to our latest cake sale in Carrickroe and Ballyosion at the weekend. All monies raised will go towards next weekends big event Feile Peil Na NOg 2017. We would like to wish our u14 team all the best in this football filled weekend.
U12
Played their in played fixture against neighbouring team Emyvale last night. Result to follow next week.
U14
Finished off their league on Monday passed when they played away to Donoghmoyne.
Senior
Training as pre arranged with management in group text

Fr. Macartan McQuaid – Fifty Years a Priest:  Fr Macartan will celebrate a Mass of Thanksgiving in St. Mellans this  Sun 18th June at 6pm.  There is an open invitation to all in the Parish and all communities to whom he ministered to in those 50 years to share in his evening of prayer and celebration.
