Scotstown Club Notes

Vegas Experience

What an experience. The complex was bussing from 7pm as the “Croupies” sharpened their skills on the Blackjack table and Roulette wheel. The crowd started to gather from 9 and by 10.30pm the place was hopping. Early in the night Dominic Treanor showed the way to hang tough with a fabulous time of 2 minutes and 18 seconds .That time was still the best at 12.30pm when up stepped  Hugh Murray. As the time ticked past 1min 30, 1,45 2min then 2,15 the crowd gathered to watch but just as it look as if Domnic was to be dethroned it all ended for Hugh @2 min 16 seconds. Wouldn’t be right to pick out of Brian McGinnity for not making the 2 minute mark by 4 seconds, so we won’t. Lady prize  goes to Eimer McGovern who hung tough for 1min 16. With the nose rising the audience we called to declare their pot at @12.45. 1600 Vegas$ got you to the final round of ten. Paddy “Bones” McKenna followed the strategy that got him to the final and won a meal for 2 in the four seasons. Darren Hughes got his hand on 250 liters of oil for second highest tally- while bragging rights go to Kevin McAloon who took home the voucher for a stay in the “Four Seasons Carlingford”. There were vouchers and bottles of wine for Mark Clifford,Patsy mcElwain, Jamie McCarey, Francis Maguire, John Daly Kevin McKenna and Eddie Beggan. A big thank you to all our sponsors and all who came out on the night.
