Action on the field

Once again mixed fortunes was the order of the day with teams representing the club. The Minors continued on their winning ways with victory over Sean Mc Dermotts while the under 12’s also got their Summer league campaign up and going with a win over Toome. The reserves were involved in a ding dong battle with Clones with the town side finally prevailing.

Looking forward

With the Ulster championship on the horizon, it has been a break for our senior side with the focus now on the Junior club championship which will get underway on Sunday May 28th with a trip to Scotstown to take on Eire Og. The U14’s make a return this Saturday the 20th after a 3 week break when they are the visitors to Killeevan at 12pm. On Sunday 21st, the reserves welcome Eire Og to Pairc Mhuire at 2pm.

Go Game Blitz

Well done to our U8’s who hosted and took part in a Go Game blitz on Saturday last. The damp weather didn’t dampen the GAA spirit with all teams involved show casing their skills. It is the turn of the U10’s to host their blitz this Saturday. Again any help is appreciated on the morning or indeed why not come along and support the future stars of the club.

Ulster Championship

Best of luck to the Monaghan minor and senior teams who will get their Ulster championship campaigns underway this Saturday against Fermanagh in Clones. Throw in for the minors is at 5pm with the seniors at 7pm. Also best of luck to the Monaghan hurlers who take on Derry in the Nicky Rackard cup semi final in Inniskeen at 5pm also on Saturday. It is a pity that the fixture is clashing with the football in Clones.

Mr Centenary 2017

Images of our club chairman Michael Carroll in Chefs clothing have appeared on social media in recent weeks and it can now be revealed that Michael will be competing for the honour of been Mr Centenary 2017 as part of the 100 year celebrations been hosted by the Latton Club. The contest will take place on Friday night May 26th at the Latton GAA social centre. Tickets are now on sale.
