Junior B’s

It was 1st place against 3rd place as Carrickmacross took on our reserves at home last Wednesday the 10th. It was ourselves to dominate possession in the first 10 mins but we failed to show that on the score board which left the travelling side hot on our heels threw out most of the game. It wasn’t until the last 10 minutes of the game when Man of the match Francie Mc Mahon showed how quick he can be when he got onto the ball on our own 45 and after beating 4 Carrick men he calmly finished with a fantastic goal to give us a bit more breathing space.

Final score Eire og 3-12 Carrickmacross 1-11

Next up for the lads is the Championship game V Ballybay coming up On Wednesday 17th with a throw in down for 7.45pm.

On Sunday the 21st of May we travel to Rockcorry for Round 5 of the league. Throw in at 2pm and as always all support welcome.

U12’s

Eire Og V’s Cremartin

On Monday evening last the U12’s played Cremartin in their first game of the Summer League. A very exciting game throughout with some excellent scores from both sides. In the first half Cremartin were picking up points at will but a goal from Kieran Mullaney “one of three on the night” and a brilliant long ranged point from Lily Monaghan kept us barely in touch at half 6 points behind.

In the second half time we enjoyed a lot of possession and kept the Cremartin goals under siege with repeated attacks Jaime Gavin grabbed a notable score slotting over a point with a lethal finish, however Cremartin were good enough to get scores on the counter attack.

Eire og 4-5 Cremartin 3-12

Training continues 6pm Thursday.
