A beautiful Wednesday evening in Pearse Park played host to a tight, compelling contest with Ballybay ending the match as winners by 2 points. Aaron Toner set the tone with a nice quick taken point over the bar before Barney Mc Cabe had a wonderful block on an opposition player that showed the commitment that was present throughout the game. Points were exchanged from both sides over the next few minutes leaving the score at 0-06 to 0-06 with 20 minutes gone. Paddy O’Neill then converted a well taken goal to leave Ballybay leading by a goal. More points followed from Pearse Brothers before half-time leaving the score 1-08 to 0-06. A point from O’Neill and a free-kick left Ballybay 7 points clear after 10 mins in 2nd half. Eire Og then converted a couple of free-kicks and more points leaving the game on an edge with 5 mins to go. A free-kick from Ballybay settled nerves with 2 minutes remaining. Ballybay ended up winning 1-11 to 0-12.

Under 6 and under 8 training will continue every Thursday evening in Pearse Park from 6-7pm
