Coach Development Workshops & Opportunities

Monaghan GAA have held a number of coach development workshops over the past number of weeks. On the 13th March, we held a Gaelic Start Workshop aimed at developing coaches at under 6 and under 8 age levels. This workshop was held at Cremartin Hall, with 9 different clubs represented. This workshop was delivered by Rory Beggan and Conor Fadian.



Paul O’Connor, Monaghan GAA Games Development Manager, delivered a Skills Development Workshop for U10 and U12 coaches in Patrician High School on the 20th March. This workshop focused on improving players through the player pathway model. There was representatives from 11 clubs at this workshop.



Aidan Morgan, Hurling Games Promotion Officer, delivered an interactive coaching workshop focused on coaching through games and working with children on the 20th March. This workshop was delivered at the Monaghan GAA Training Centre in Cloghan and had 11 coaches in attendance.


There are also workshops coming up over the coming weeks as follows:


  • 23rd March @ 7.30pm – Performance Analysis Workshop @ Monaghan GAA Training Grounds (Delivered by Kevin McGuigan, Ulster GAA)
  • 27th March @ 7.30pm – Skill Development U14/U16’s Workshop @ Monaghan Harps GAA (Delivered by Colin Malone, Games Promotion Officer)
