Emmets Handball! Congratulations to the A team who have qualified for the semi-final of the GAA League; so our best wishes to Colm Kiernan, Ronan Kiernan, Gary Beirne, Cathal Keenan, Jimmy McCahey and David McCarthy when they take on Bawn. Our commiserations to the Emmets B team of Frank, Robbie and Michael Duffy, Glenn O’Reilly and Jimmy Hayes who just missed out on qualification but well done on a very season to look back on! David McCarthy reached the Novice 4 County final but lost to Joe Kelly (Harps) in the end. The Novice 3 final is an all Emmet affair and should prove to be very interesting for the club members; Ronan Kiernan will face fellow compatriot Gary Beirne. Best wishes from the Emmets to Gavin Coyle and Michael Clerkin on reaching the All-Ireland finals in their respective grades which is a great honour for their club Bawn!
