CLUB NOTES
LOTTO
There was no Lotto Jackpot winner. The numbers were 03, 10, 11 and 27. The Lucky Dip winner were: Sean Culleton (Shercock), Caron Furlong, Paddy Reilly and Ronan Mc Dermott. SPORTS AND EXERCISE NUTRITION
Sharon Courtney, Sports and Exercise Nutritionist and current Donaghmoyne and Monaghan Ladies player has been confirmed to give a talk to parents and players from both the men’s and ladies club from U12 to U16 on Monday the 20th of February at 7pm. Sharon is an expert in this field and has won many club All Irelands, Ulster’s and All Stars but to name a few. Former Monaghan player JP Mone will have a stall on the night selling Gaelic Performance gum shields and gloves. As gum shields are compulsory this is a great oppertunity to get proper advice from one of the experts in the field. Please see the Facebook post for more details…
MEMBERSHIP
Membership can be paid either online at www.magheracloonemitchells.ie or to any committee member. It is club policy that at least one Parent/Guardian are members of the club. Membership fees are €40 for one Parent/Guardian plus one child. €50 for Family Membership which includes: Both Parents/Guardians plus children.
JUVENILE TRAINING
U6’S
The U6 training academy continues indoors this Saturday (11th) from 10am to 11am. Gum shields must be worn.
U12’S
U12 training will commence on Tuesday 21st of February at 7pm. Training will be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
U14’S
Great to see a full turn out for the players meeting on Monday evening. Training commences this Saturday (18th) at 4:30.
U16’S
U16 training will commence on Wednesday (15th) from 8pm to 9pm.
MONTHLY MEETING
February’s monthly meeting will be held this evening (Tuesday 14th) at 8:30 in the club rooms. All members welcome.
ULSTER ELEVATE PROGRAMME
Magheracloone GFC has been selected for the Ulster Elevate Programme. We are one of ten clubs from across Ulster who will take part in this prestigious programme over the next four weeks culminating in an awards night on Thursday the 30th of March in the Garveaghey Centre.
COACHING WORKSHOP
Athletic Development Workshop this Thursday (16th) at 7:30 in Cloghan. This is a free workshop. Everyone welcome.
SAVE THE DATE
Magheracloone Mitchells GFC will host a summer BBQ on July 08th. It promises to be a great evenings entertainment. More details to follow..
LADIES NOTES
COUCH TO 5K
Our couch to 5k is now in it’s third week and still has a great turn out. It is on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7pm, starting from the community centre. Come along and join in next week, it’s never to late to start and there will always be someone there to offer an encouraging word.
REGISTRATION
We are holding our annual registration night on Friday the 17th of February at 7:30 in the community centre. All girls from U10 up are eligible to play, new members are always welcome.
