Scor na nOg Ulster Finals:  Our Leiriu Team were unsuccessful in their bid to land an Ulster title last weekend in Galbally.  They put in a superb performance with their original, contemporary and very funny play entitled ‘Saving the Turf’.  The audience were enthralled with the Gaeil Triucha performance on the night, and the result must have been very close between ourselves and eventual winners Cullyhanna who were last year’s All-Ireland Champions.  Congratulations and thanks to Aoife Tierney, Tara and Clodagh McMeel, Aoibheann Treanor, Karl McMeel, Killian and Fionn Sweeney,  Fergal Flood, and Mentors Claire McMeel and Mark Skinnader for their tremendous effort.

Juveniles: Go raibh mile maith agaibh to all who supported the juvenile committee’s table quiz which took place in St Mellans last Friday night. We had a fantastic turnout and a great night was had by all. Thanks to all who helped to organise and run the quiz.
U10’s: Our programme for the year starts next Saturday, 21 Jan at 10am. We will train in Emyvale leisure centre. Looking forward to seeing you all there!
John McArdle from the County board has been invited to give a talk on child protection in St Mellans. It takes place on Monday, 30 Jan at 8.30pm. It is important that all coaches, students, committee members, groundsmen, parents, and anyone else who comes in contact with children in the club attend this event.
