Condolences

It was with great sadness that the club heard of the sudden passing of Frank Mc Fadden, and we take this opportunity to pass on our condolences to his wife Bridie, daughters Deirdre, Frances, Breda and son Cormac and extended family and friends. The large crowds that attended the house, removal and funeral service was testament to the high esteem that Frank was held in, both within the community and surrounding areas..

Keep it free

February 12th will be a big day for the county with a “tasty” National league derby against Cavan to look forward too in Castleblayney. It will also be “tasty” around Rockcorry… More details to follow..

Dr Mc Kenna Cup

So Monaghans run in the Dr Mc Kenna cup came to an end at the semi final stage with a 2 point loss to Derry in the Athletic grounds on Sunday. Once again the game give Malachy O Rourke and his management team an opportunity to run their eye over the panel as they now prepare for the first round of the National league with an away trip to Mayo on Saturday 4th of February.

Club Membership

Club membership is now due once again and can be paid to our club Registrar Pat Brannigan. Following a motion at the AGM the annual subscription for adults has increased to €30 with all juveniles under the age of 18 increased to €10 per child. Any student that can provide a valid student card the membership fee is €10.

Committee positions..

We still have one or two positions to be confirmed on our committee for 2017, so if you feel like you would like to get involved with the committee for the coming year, just let us know.

It is great to see quite a number of new committee members stepping up and mixing that with the experience already there and that should make for an enjoyable and productive 2017. The more people who get involved the better for our club #Comeonrock
